Back in the day on French St Maarten the fishermen would clean and sell their catch near the food market. It was a first come first served type deal. You found a good spot near the water and you could sell your catch of the day directly to customers. I was on a trip home back in the early 90s and took lots of pictures that I turned into artwork. I miss the old market.
